I Am an Alien Too
I am an alien too. I do not belong here. This is not my home. I am a foreigner; A white man on native land, Descendent of usurpers. I am an alien too. There is no place for me in this economy. I must commodify parts of me, And compromise the integrity of the rest, Or starve, Or beg, Or languish on a beach. I am an alien too. You should deport me. I have trespassed against God Himself. Deport me to Sheol. I am an alien too. Jesus has forgiven me - And he forgave you - Of our trespasses. May we forgive those who trespass. I am an alien too. Aren't we all travelers here? In the final estimation, Do we really own anything? Does anyone belong to a state? A great many good people never found a place to fit. And a great many decent people were corrupted by the place they were given. I am an alien too.
